We provide the best big game hunting experience in the central Texas hill country.
Our hunts are perfect for experienced hunters seeking a challenge, but we can accommodate any age and experience level. A trip to our ranches is ideal for family bonding (father/son/daughter etc) and small party business retreats.

Texas Whitetail Deer
Seasonal restrictions
Sandy Ranch Outfitters offers the best whitetail hunting packages in Texas. Visitors commonly spot up to six bucks at once on our ranches.
Details & Pricing
Typical bucks score a 130 Gross B&C but we harvest numerous animals in the 140 range each year. This is our premier package due to the richness of the whitetail population. Trophy bucks must be at least eight points and have a rack wider than the ears. Deer that do not meet this criteria may not be harvested (excepting cull bucks).

Blackbuck Antelope
Seasonal restrictions: Exotic species, no restrictions
We offer trophy Blackbuck Antelope, many with 4 and 5-curl horns, and nearly all of our population is trophy quality – typically 18-19 inches straightline.

They are native to Pakistan and India, but thrive in the climate of the Texas Hill Country.

Addax
Seasonal restrictions: Exotic species, no restrictions
A northern African antelope, the Addax is prized by trophy hunters throughout the globe. Horns usually measure 28.5 inches but we’ve seen up to 38 inches in central Texas.

Males generally weigh up to 200 lbs. while females average around 150 lbs. Adapted to the southwestern Sahara desert, an addax can go weeks without water and survive internal temperatures of nearly 115°F. Moreover, they have exceptionally broad feet, perfectly adapted to manuvering the sandy northern African terrain. They are an amazing animal to hunt and harvest.

Rio Grande Turkey
Seasonal restrictions
We have over 700 acres of Hill Country pasture to hunt our sizable population of turkey. We scout Rio Grande Turkey year-round to determine optimal locations for our visitors.

Like our Whitetail population, our turkey are world-class. Hunters may choose a method of hunting to suit his/her tastes, but we recommend Blind/Feeder hunts and/or we’ll simply drop you off to roam a section of the ranch. Visitors may carry shotguns, bows, and/or rifles and are free to coax the animals with calls.

Feral Hogs
Seasonal restrictions: None
We’ve got more hogs than you can shake ten rifles at. They’re free for the taking if you harvest one or more of our other species.

Visitors may employ a number of methods to hunt our ranches, but we’ve narrowed down what is effective, depending on the species and weaponry. We recommend that you discuss your hunting method of choice with us before your visit.

Guide Services
All of our hunts are guided by hunters, trackers, and scouts, all with excellent knowledge of our property and game.
Guide services are required for all hunts except Whitetail and turkey. Discuss your options with us before visiting.
Visitors eat, sleep, and hang out in the newly constructed Sandy Ranch Lodge on our property just north of Johnson City.
